Advanced Workplace First Aid Training Course
CONTENT :
NZ Mines Rescue has developed an advanced first aid course based on the 6400 series units with additional specialist content as an alternative to a PHEC for first response teams and responders and those working at isolated sites. NZ Mines Rescue was aware the time away from work requirement to gain PHEC and retain currency was a large drain on companies with large numbers of first responders due to shift and site requirements.
The course includes site Emergency Management Plan (EMP) as the context, Scene Management, Oxygen Therapy, Penthrox, Cervical collar, Kendrix Extraction Device, Kendrix Traction device, and Scoop Stretcher use.
It also includes:
US 6400 Manage first aid in an emergency situation (Level 3, 2 Credits)
US 6401 Provide first aid (Level 2, 1 Credit)
US 6402 Provide basic life support (Level 2, 2 Credits)
DURATION :
2 Days
NUMBERS :
Up to a maximum of 12 participants. Additional numbers must be agreed in advance by Mines Rescue and will incur additional assessment and reporting charges - may increase the length of the training day.
Location :
NZ Mines Rescue have training facilities available in Huntly and Rapahoe, with delivery available nationwide in the workplace or other suitable training venue.
Compliance with Regulations :
Meets the requirements of Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016.
