Workplace First Aid (or Workplace First Aid Refresher) Training Course

CONTENT :

US 6400 Manage first aid in an emergency situation (Level 3, 2 Credits)

US 6401 Provide first aid (Level 2, 1 Credit)

US 6402 Provide basic life support (Level 2, 2 Credits)

This course can also act as a First Aid refresher. NZQA stipulates “… the learner's certificate is no older than two years and three months from date of issue, (the course) is a minimum of six hours training and assessment..”.

Refresher unit standards achievements are reloaded as required by NZQA.

Delivery is focused on the types of accidents identified through Client site risk management processes.

Can be completed in a single day as a refresher and as a full course for those with no first aid certificate who review learning material and complete a short pre-course written assessment.

NUMBERS :

Up to a maximum of 12 participants. Additional numbers must be agreed in advance by Mines Rescue and will incur additional assessment and reporting charges - may increase the length of the training day.

Location :

NZ Mines Rescue have training facilities available in Huntly and Rapahoe, with delivery available nationwide in the workplace or other suitable training venue.

Compliance with Regulations :

Meets the requirements of Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016.
